Kargil, Dec 19: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) camp was held on Monday at Govt. Middle School Dass and Government High School Poyen, for Ward 5&8 constituencies of Kargil town.
Councillor Town, Haji Abass Adulpa urged the residents to maximize the benefits offered through such camps, fostering community engagement and knowledge dissemination. He appreciated people for showing interest in the stalls depicting Government schemes.
Executive Officer MC, Shafaqat Ali Khan expressed gratitude to the participants for making the event successful. He said MC, Kargil will remain committed towards public welfare.
Stalls were installed by various departments including Horticulture, Fisheries, Industries, J&K Bank, PNB, SB-CRISIL, Health &Family Welfare, Handicrafts, Social Welfare, Handloom, Education and Municipal Committee to awareness people.
The departments enlightened participants about centrally sponsored schemes such as Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), subsidy schemes for vermicompost and pack houses, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban, PM Vishwakarma, PM SVANidhi, Atal Pension Yojna, PM Suraksha Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Yojna, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna, etc.
On-the-spot services were given. At Ward-5, Govt. Middle School Dass, a total of 25 ABHA Cards were issued, 175 people were screened for TB, 04 sputum were done and referred, 32 e-KYCs were done and 40 Aadhaar Cards were issued.
Similarly, at Ward-8 Govt. High School Poyen, a total of 12 ABHA Cards, 12, Ayushman Cards were issued, 20 people were screened for TB, BP check was done on 100 people, e-KYC of 28 Ration Cards was done and 23 Aadhaar cards were issued.
