Kargil, Dec 18: Executive Councilor (RD&PRD, Forest/Wildlife, Cooperative, CAPD and Zanskar Development) LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today inaugurated free Ladakh Winter tuition jointly organised and funded by Won Buddhism Charitable Society India and Hanuran Movement South Korea with logistic support of LAHDC Kargil.
This is 3rd consecutive year the said winter tuition is organised at village Karsha and Zangla Zanskar with the initiative and goodwill of P Namgyal Ajita, President Won Buddhism India.
Free tuition for class 3rd, 4th and 5th shall be provided and books as well as stationery has been arranged and distributed among the student by the above charitable society.
EC Tashi expressed gratitude to P Namgyal Ajita President Won Buddhism India and other philanthropists of Hanuran Movement Korea for supporting this kind of educational movement in remote region of Himalaya.
He has also appreciated the role played by Village Education Committee of Karsha, BDC, Lambardar and Ama Tsokspa who were all present during the inauguration ceremony.
The Community Assistant Teacher, Lobzang Padma presented welcome speech besides BDC Karsha, Lambardar and VEC head Tashi also spoke during the function and appreciated the charitable society. The EC assured that LAHDC Kargil will intervene to fulfil the developmental needs of HS Karsha.
In the afternoon, EC Tashi also inaugurated winter tuition at Darasgah Padum organized by Muslim Youth Association Padum. He appreciated MYA for taking such role in the education sector. ZEO Tsetan Konchok also accompanied the EC.
