Leh, Dec 18: An Memorandum of Association (MoA) was signed by Prof SK Mehta, Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh and Mr SK Bose, CEO, Hydrocarbon Sector Skill Council (HSSC) at Oil Industry Development Board Bhawan, Noida, on 18th Dec’ 2023, in the presence of Dr. GS Kapur, Advisor (R & D), GAIL (India) Ltd, Mr. LR Jain, CEO ISPRL, Mr. Arun Mittal, ED-OISD, Ms Varsha Sinha, Secretary-OIDB, Mr. Alok Sharma, ED-CHT, Prof Anju Srivastava, Principal Hindu College and a few other dignitaries during Capacity Building Workshop on Green Hydrogen and Trainer Certification Course (18-19 December 2023).
The MoA marks a significant milestone for University of Ladakh as both the institutions forging a strong partnership to collaboratively advance innovation, research, and mutual growth in Green Hydrogen Sector. This strategic alliance promises to create impactful synergies, benefiting both institutions and contributing to broader societal progress through research and training.
The Collaboration aims to execute skill development initiative in the Hydrocarbon and allied sectors focusing on entry level workforce engaged in industry, service provider, up-skilling and re-skilling of workforce for leadership development with technical and managerial expertise.
During the meet it was decided to hold intensive deliberation further in the upcoming proposed workshop during March/April 2024 in Ladakh. Dr. S Joldan, Dr. Subrat Sharma, Dr Mohd Rafee and Dr Jigmet Stobdan were present from University of Ladakh during the historical signing ceremony.
