Leh, Dec 18: A 22-day Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) training for the FLN Teachers of Leh District commenced at DIET Leh from December 18.
The training is organised by DIET Leh under the NIPUN BHARAT MISSION scheme of Samagrah Shiksha Abhiyan.
The training will focus on digital content on Bhoti, Balti and Dard Aryan in the context of National Curriculum Framework Foundational Level and National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Also, this training will specially focus on Teaching/Learning Materials (TLM) and its implementation in real classroom situations.
Around 120 teachers participated in the training.
During the opening ceremony, Chief Education Officer, Leh, S.D Namgail, chief guest stressed that a teacher should be technically sound. He distributed the mementos to the toppers of recently UT level TLM mela 2023 with the highest score in all the five languages in FLN TLM Mela 2023.
Middle School Gangles secured the first position while Primary School Skara Yokma secured the second position and High School Gya secured the third position.
Principal DIET, Leh Chetan Dorje highlighted the importance of FLN training for strengthening the foundation in Government Schools in Leh.
