Kargil, Dec 18: General Secretary, Association for Ladakh Students Welfare and Jammu (ALSWAJ), Mushtaq Ali today called on Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon.
The General Secretary raised various issues regarding the welfare and education of students from Ladakh studying in Jammu.
He highlighted the demand for reservations for Ladakh students in numerous colleges and Universities across India. The General Secretary emphasized the need for inclusive educational policies that support the academic endeavors of Ladakh students.
Additionally, financial support for ALSWAJ, renovation of a Boys Hostel, provision of a Mini Ambulance for Girls Hostel, transport facilities for the Girls Hostel in Sidhra, and security guards for both girls and boys hostels.
The CEC Kargil assured that these issues would be addressed and said the Council considers the resolution of problems being faced by students as a matter of priority.
He assured to expedite the redressal process and work towards implementing effective solutions to enhance the educational experience for Ladakh students studying in Jammu.
