Employee delegation meets MP Khatna, lists demands

Srinagar, Dec 17:
A delegation of of the Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC), led by Ajaz Ahmad Khan, Chairmanmet BJP MP Rajya Sabha Er. Gulam Ali to apprise him of the longstanding concerns faced by employees in the region and seek collaborative solutions to address these issues.
MP Khatana commended the dedicated efforts of the employees, acknowledging their unwavering commitment, particularly during challenging times. The meeting focused on a range of pending issues crucial to the well-being and working conditions of employees in Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting a collaborative effort to find comprehensive solutions.
EJCC delegation demanded release of Payment on Account of G.P Fund and Retirement Benefits.The delegation emphasized the pressing need for the timely release of payments related to the G.P Fund and retirement benefits for retiring employees. Ensuring financial security for employees post-retirement was highlighted as a paramount concern.
They further demanded increase in Medical Allowance up to 3000 Per Month; reorganizing various Departments that have not undergone restructuring for an extended period. The delegation underscored the importance of adapting to changing requirements and ensuring the efficiency of government functions; implementation of Five Days a Week Working; increase in House Rent Allowance (HRA) and regularization of Daily Wagers, Need-Based Contractual Workers, Anganwadi Workers: The delegation emphasized the importance of regularizing the employment status of daily wage workers, need-based contractual workers, and Anganwadi workers, ensuring job security and fair treatment.
MP Khatana assured  Employees Joint Consultative Committee to address the highlighted concerns and facilitate positive changes for the employees in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
