Srinagar, Dec 12: Security forces arrested six suspected persons including a woman in two separate operations and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in Kashmir valley, police said on Tuesday.
Police along with Army and CRPF arrested four persons including one woman in north Kashsmir’s Bandipora district and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from them.
The accused have been identified as Adil Tariq Wasil, Shafkat Nabi, Musaib khursheed all residents of Ladoora Rafiabad Baramulla and a woman (name withheld), police said.
A case registered under relevant sections of law in Police Station Bandipora and investigation taken up.
Two suspects were arrested in south Kashmir.
Army said the two were arrested based on intelligence inputs.
“A Joint Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) was established on December 11 by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police at Zabilpura, Bijbehara in Anantnag district during which the two were apprehended.
“During the operation two suspected individuals have been apprehended and one Pistol and war like stores were recovered from their possession. Investigation in progress,” Army said on X.
