Leh, Dec 10: Qamarun Nissa of EJM College, Leh along with Sohail Qhaysar, Tsewang Lamo, Deachen Angmo have brought laurels to the college by winning prestigious Sanjoy Ghosh Media Awards 2023 besides representing the college at National level.
A press release issued by the college states, “Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, Eliezer Joldan Memorial College Leh is thrilled to announce the exceptional achievements of its students on both National and Local level. Qamarun Nissa, student of 3rd Semester, Journalism department has been awarded the prestigious Sanjoy Ghosh Media Awards 2023.”
Additionally, four other outstanding students, Sohail Qhaysar, Tsewang Lamo, Deachen Angmo and Qamarun Nissa have attended the Knowledge Exchange Program ‘Be Qaid’ held at New Delhi on 6th and 7th December 2023. The programme brings together 35 young rural writers from different corners of the country.
This recognition not only celebrates the student’s individual accomplishments but also highlights the culture of excellence fostered at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College Leh. EJM College takes immense pride in nurturing a learning environment that encourages excellence, creativity, and the pursuit of knowledge. These achievements underscore our commitment to shaping well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically but also contribute meaningfully to society.
EJM College headed by Principal Dr Sameena Iqbal, HoD Mass Communication Hajira Bano, Lecturer Mohd Ali Khan and entire faculty extends congratulations to Qamarun Nissa for the award.
