Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at Chulichan, Garkone Panchayats

Kargil, Dec 08: As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a program was organized today at Chulichan and Garkone Panchayats, in Block Sodh.
BDC Sodh Zakir Hussain, BDO Sodh/Day Nodal Officer, Mukhtar Ali, Sarpanches, Panches, officials from diverse departments, including Agriculture, RD&PRD, Health, Social Welfare, Food and Supplies, Handloom, Fisheries, Cooperative Societies, NRLM along with representatives from various other line departments, actively participated in the event.
During the event, the officers interacted and reached out to the citizens eligible under various welfare schemes, disseminating information and fostering awareness about the government-sponsored public-centric schemes.
Experts from different departments and institutions including agriculture, horticulture, ICDS, Health, Social Welfare, NRLM, Handloom, etc. held interactive sessions with the locals wherein they were informed about the procedures to avail these welfare schemes.
At Garkone, a health camp was conducted by the Health Department, in which 35 patients attended the free general check-ups. Also, 35 people were screened for NCDs, 04 Ayushman and 02 health cards were generated, and 20 patients were screened for TB.
At Chulichan Panchayat, 30 people attended the general OPD, 17 ABHA Cards were linked, nine Ayushman cards were issued while HB check-up was done on 8 individuals.
The health camp was aimed to identify and address health issues and promote preventive health care. The initiative prioritized providing medical care and treatment to those unable to afford it, reflecting a commitment to accessible healthcare for all.
During the program, officials of the Health Department briefed the general public about the goal of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and underlined its mission. They were also briefed about healthcare schemes. The camp witnessed huge participation of the people.
