Leh, Dec 05: Government Degree College, Nubra observed World’s AIDS Day on December 1.
Assistant Professor, Tsewang Lahmo convenor Red Ribbon Club presented the welcome speech. She talked about the ways and means of spreading this virus and precautionary measures needed to prevent it.
Further in conformity with this year’s theme “Let communities Lead”, she emphasised that we can end AIDS virus by 2030, if the HIV infected communities are sufficiently funded to lead.
Principal, Dr Tsewang Motup spoke on the topic Stigma related to HIV infected patients. He reiterated that in today’s world the younger generations are on the higher risk of getting infected due to wide scale usage of intravenous drugs.
