DLSA Kargil organizes awareness programme on World HIV/AIDS Day

Kargil, Dec 02: As per the plan of action and calendar of activities, the District Legal Services Authority Kargil in collaboration with Block Medical Officer Kargil organized an awareness programme on World HIV/AIDS Day at BMO Conference Hall Kargil.
The programme was attended by Dr. Abass In-charge Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Dr. Abdul Jalil Block Medical Officer Kargil, Adv. Syed Mehdi Aga Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel Kargil, Adv. Nissar Hussain Assistance Legal Aid Defense Counsel Kargil, Dr. Shabnum Fatime, Para Medical Staff members, Ashaya Workers of District Kargil, DLSA Staff members and PLVs.
The occasion started with the welcome speech of Dr. Shabnum Fatima. After which Dr. Abass In-charge CMO Kargil and Dr. Jalil BMO Kargil briefly explained regarding the HIV/AIDS diseases during which they also explained the mediums through which this disease spreads. They also enforced the ASHA workers to spread the awareness among the villagers regarding such diseases in their respective areas.
Adv. Syed Mehdi Aga Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel Kargil on the occasion highlighted the importance and significance of the day. He said that the main purpose of marking such a day is to highlight the importance and awareness regarding such diseases.
In the end Adv. Nissar Assistance Legal Aid Defense Counsel Kargil thanked BMO Kargil for providing space for organizing such a fruitful programme. He also elaborated the Acts and laws specially made for the HIV/AIDS (Prevention and Control Act 2017).
