Kargil, Dec 01: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Drass, Vishal Atri the other day visited Zojila Pass along with I/C Police Post Minamarg, OIC GREF and I/c Mechanical Division Drass to see the current situation of National Highway (NH1).
During the visit, SDM along with other officials identified spots on the highway that become slippery after snowfall.
SDM Drass directed I/C Mechanical Division Drass to use dust/soil in those spots where the road is slippery.
Representative from Zojila Tunnel also ensured to provide dust/soil for the Mechanical Department.
Further, the SDM Drass directed all the concerned departments to keep man and machinery ready for any situation in Zojila Axis in lieu of bad weather conditions.
