Leh, Nov 28: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson received a courtesy call from a delegation of the newly appointed executive members of the Ladakh Students Welfare Society, Delhi (LSWSD) led by President, Jigmet Tseskit at Ladakh Bhawan, New Delhi Tuesday.
Interacting with the student delegation, H’CEC deliberated on the major issues pertaining to the students’ community residing in the national capital city for higher studies.
The members apprised the CEC of the role and contribution of the LSWSD towards the welfare of Ladakhis in various socio-cultural initiatives and especially in providing assistance to Ladakhi patients visiting Delhi for medical treatments.
The members also discussed further roadmaps and plans of the society along with various prevailing issues of Ladakh during the meeting.
CEC Gyalson appreciated the role of LSWSD in serving the Ladakhi community in New Delhi and also for their assistance in successfully hosting the first “Ladakh’s Pride” Art and Photo Exhibition showcasing Ladakh’s GI treasures in the national capital city. He further assured all possible assistance from the Hill Council, Leh to the society.
