Kargil, Nov 24: National Fisheries Development Board (Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying) Government of India has published a Book depicting 100 Super Success Stories from Indian Fisheries and Two Fish Farmers of Drass sub Division, Amina Bano and Mohd Ilyas have also been enlisted in 100 Super Success stories in the country from Indian Fisheries depicting their success stories at serial no 51 and 52 in the book.
While highlighting the significance of achievement Assistant Director Fisheries, Kargil said that over the past four years, the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh has expedited the developmental progress and scripted many success stories by implementing various Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the region.
Similarly, in Fisheries, the Blue Revolution and Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Youjna (PMMSY) are one of such those centrally sponsored schemes that has not only helped to create employment opportunities to the educated unemployed youth by providing them incentives for construction of Trout rearing units but also provides them a diversified form of farming with less managerial practice requirement and high returns in comparison to other conventional form of farming.
