Kargil, Nov 16: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon convened a meeting with heads of various Telecom Operators in Kargil.
During the meeting, various issues regarding improvement of 7telecommunication services including 4G Saturation plan provided by different telecom operators was discussed.
The CEC impressed upon all telecommunication operators to provide high-speed and improved/ enhanced 4G/5G telecom services in the district.
He asked the telecom operators to augment the existing telecom infrastructure in the Town/ Urban areas to ensure good quality of services in these areas besides expansion of FTTH services in uncovered areas of Kargil Town.
He directed that BSNL may pace up work for erection of 4G Telecom Towers in the district to ensure complete 4G saturation within the prescribed timeline. Councilor, Barsoo Constituency Shiekh Ghulam Mohd Ansari was also present in the meeting.
