Leh, Oct 27: As a heartfelt tribute to Lamdon and its remarkable legacy, a musical album titled “Lamdon rGaston” was released by Lamdon Senior Secondary School, Leh during an impressive event at its Gyalsras Bakula Auditorium here today.
Principal Dr Stanzin Dawa along with the invited dignitaries released this musical album, which highlights and celebrates the cultural richness of Lamdon and also reflects the deep appreciation and respect for its invaluable heritage.
The musical album was produced by the students of the school under the guidance and support of their teachers. The wonderful work of the Lamdon’s team was appreciated by one and all present on the occasion. The teachers, who conceptualized and lead the team for the successful production, were also felicitated by the dignitaries.
Principal Dr Stanzin Dawa said, “Lamdon rGaston” is a labour of love, crafted with passion and dedication by a team of incredibly talented, vocalists, musicians, cameramen, graphic designers, editors, and artists.”
“Our school has a rich history of tradition and values and has grown immensely since its inception more than four decades ago. Thousands of students have received education here and many have risen to occupy high offices and good status in life. “Lamdon rGaston” is a tribute to the rich legacy of Lamdon and I am proud of my students and teachers who have produced it wonderfully,” he added.
“Today’s schools are not just about books and classes, but about developing multiple intelligences in a child. Therefore, at Lamdon, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum that allows students to find and develop their potential, whether it is academic, artistic, philosophic or athletic,” he further said.
