, : As a part of Tobacco control effort in Leh town and to ensure COTPA 2003 compliance, an enforcement drive was carried out by the Enforcement squad in Leh city, here today.
A sum amounting to Rs.12,800/- was collected as fine from violators of section 6b and section 4 of COTPA.
It is also being notified to shopkeepers that selling tobacco products within 100 yards of educational institutions is a punishable offense under section 6 of COTPA.
