Leh, Oct 18: The Secretary of State Transport and the Chairman of the State Transport Authority, Union Territory of Ladakh Amit Sharma chaired the 6th State Transport Authority meeting at the Civil Secretariat, Leh.
At the outset of the crucial meeting, the State Transport Authority discussed and deliberated on various matters concerning transportation services and infrastructure at Kushak Bakula Rinpoche Airport, Leh. The meeting was convened to address pertinent issues related to the airport’s pre-paid taxi services and booth charges and witnessed extensive discussions and considerations.
The meeting commenced with a thorough examination of the agendas, primarily focusing on pre-paid taxi services and booth charges through the base price inclusive luggage charge. The central theme of the discussion reflects the commitment of the authorities to enhance the overall passenger experience and streamline services at the airport.
The participants engaged in a comprehensive exchange of ideas and insights. These discussions sought to address the challenges and opportunities associated with permit fees, with a view to ensuring fair and efficient pricing structures.
The Administrative Secretary Amit Sharma highlighted the outcome of the deliberations will have a profound impact on the transportation landscape in Ladakh, particularly at Kushak Bakula Rinpoche Airport. The decisions made are expected to promote transparency, fairness, and improved services for both passengers and transportation service providers, the Chairman of the State Transport Authority added.
The State Transport Authority remains dedicated to creating a seamless and traveler-friendly environment at Kushak Bakula Rinpoche Airport, Leh, and the outcomes of the meeting represent a significant step in that direction, Secretary of State Transport Amit Sharma stated.
The meeting was held with the attendance of the Senior Superintending of Police, Leh; Deputy Superintending of Traffic Police, Leh; Assistant Transport Officer, Leh; and concerned officers of the State Transport Authority, while Assistant Transport Officer, Kargil joined the meeting virtually.
