Leh, Oct. 17: Dr. Pawan Kotwal, the Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory Ladakh, presided over a pivotal meeting to discuss the implementation of Special Campaign 3.0 across various departments within the UT.
The meeting was convened to deliberate on the comprehensive implementation of Special Campaign 3.0 across various departments within the Union Territory. The primary objective of this campaign is to institutionalize daily activities, eliminate pendency, and address grievances effectively.
The meeting marked a pivotal step towards enhancing governance and administration in Ladakh. The Special Campaign 3.0 represents a robust initiative aimed at streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring prompt redressal of grievances from the citizens of Ladakh.
The advisor emphasized the importance of the initiative during the meeting. He highlighted the need for a coordinated effort across various departments to ensure the success of the campaign and deliver the desired outcomes to the people of Ladakh. He underscored the importance of coordinated efforts and collaboration among various departments to effectively execute Special Campaign 3.0. He emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and innovation in addressing the challenges faced by the UT.
The advisor highlighted Special Campaign 3.0 as a flagship initiative undertaken by the administration of UT Ladakh, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Ladakh and fostering sustainable growth and development in the region. With a focus on good governance, efficient administration, and improved public service delivery, the campaign aims to elevate the overall well-being of the people of Ladakh, he added.
The Secretary of the Rural Development Department, UT Ladakh, and the Nodal Officer of the Special Campaign 3.0, UT Ladakh Amit Sharma said that all the targets have been identified and efforts are on to achieve them by the departments. All the departments are enthusiastically participating in undertaking a cleanliness campaign and reducing the pendency, and the progress is being monitored and the updates are being uploaded, he added.
During the meeting, special emphasis is being placed on decluttering spaces and beautifying offices, rooms, and premises within the departments. These efforts are aimed at enhancing the work environment and productivity of employees, Amit Sharma stated.
The advisor underscored the importance of a clean and garbage-free Ladakh. The cleanliness is being highlighted on social media platforms to create awareness regarding Special Campaign 3.0 among the masses.
Dr Pawan concluded the meeting by expressing his confidence in the ability of the dedicated officers/officials and departments to bring about the positive changes required for the betterment of Ladakh. He also reiterated the administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that Ladakh continues to prosper and flourish.
The meeting was held with the attendance of the Principal Secretary, UT Ladakh; Commissioner Secretary of Social & Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh; Commissioner Secretary of Tourism and Culture, UT Ladakh; Secretary of Rural Development Department, UT Ladakh; Secretary of Irrigation, Building & Construction, UT Ladakh; Secretary of General Administration Department, UT Ladakh; Deputy Commissioner/CEO of LAHDC, Leh; Director of Health, UT Ladakh; Deputy Director of Planning & Monitoring Department, UT Ladakh; and officials/officers from the concerned departments, while the Deputy Commissioner/CEO of LAHDC, Kargil; Director of Social & Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh; Director of Information, UT Ladakh; Director of Animal & Sheep Husbandry, UT Ladakh; and concerned officers from Kargil joined the meeting virtually.
