Leh, Oct 13: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Leh, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India organized block-level “Meri Mati Mera Desh” Kalash Yatra program under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Govt. Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Chuchot Shama here today.
In this programme, Inspector Bhojraj Channe for ITBP 24th Battalion was the chief guest of the programme. Veer Nari Smt. Diskit Yangchan, wife of Martyr Tundup Dorjay (SM); and Mirza Hussain, Principal, Govt.High Secondary School Shama was the guest of honor. Among other NYK staff, volunteers and members of the youth club were present on the occasion.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers, NYK volunteers, ITBP and Youth Club Members.
Insp Bhojraj Channe expressed profound gratitude to the organizers for organizing the impressive programme. He also shared the importance of “Meri Matti Mera Desh Programme”.
On the occasion, the soil was collected from the village and Kalash Yatra was taken out.
