ITBP Force takes out “Amrit Kalash Yatra” for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Leh, Oct 12: ITBP Force organized Amrit Kalash Yatra with great pomp for Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at Arhat Community Hall, Sputik under direction of Sanjay Kumar Gunjial-IPS, Inspector General, North West Frontier HQ, ITBP and guidance of P.K. Srivastava, SHQ(LDK), ITBP.

On this occasion, Veer Nari Smt. Yangchan Dolma, wife of Martyr Subedar Nubjang Motup, Veer Chakra and Ranvir Pratap Singh, Dy Comdt., Balkar Singh Chaudhary, Asstt.Comdt.& Anil Kumar Jha, Asstt.Comdt.,ITBP has honoured by wearing traditional Khatak for “Mitti Ka Vandan Veeron Ko Naman.”

In this programme, Tundup Nurboo, Councillor, Phyang; T. Wangchuk, Block Development Officer, Leh, and Sarpanches coming from different villages besides many more public representatives and local dignitaries, ladies and children also participated. During this programme all dignitaries were welcomed by local Ladakhi dance and took solemnly “Oath of Panchpran”. The programme concluded with National Anthem in which 50 Himveers participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

In this Yatra, three Gazetted Officer, seven Subordinate Officers and 40 other ranks (total 50 Himveers) along with 34 civil dignitaries and 29 school children participated. ITBP Force and District Administration, Leh organized this Yatra on the occasion of 75th anniversary of Independence and Yatra went through District level to UT level and finally reaches to NCR, New Delhi where sacred soil collected from different states of the Country would lastly go for the construction of Sacred Amrit Vatika at New Delhi for the respect of those who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the Nation.
