Leh, Oct 01: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Leh today held a cleanliness drive in the school campus under “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign to pay homage “Swachhanjali” to father of nation on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.
The students and staff of the school participated in this drive under the leadership of Principal, Suresh Kumar Bahrod. The drive started at sharp 10 am and lasted for one hour.
All the staff members and students were full of enthusiasm to be the part of the drive. Some areas and their incharges were marked to ensure the quality cleanliness of the area. Together they changed the scenario of Vidyalaya in the golden hour. The slogan “Ek Tarikh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” turned vivid in Vidyalaya.
NCC cadets also participated in the drive in full uniform which showed that uniform to make uniformity. Boys’ dormitory, play-grounds, dining area, main gate and even the filthiest area i.e. trench ground were transformed in this drive. At the end, Principal Suresh Kumar Bahrod thanked for smooth and successful programs.
