Leh, Sept 23: Councilor, Skyu Markha, Shri Sonam Nurboo called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Raj Niwas. Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal IAS was present in the meeting.

Shri Nurboo apprised the HLG about various demands, viz. rationalization of boundaries of wildlife sanctuaries/ Hemis National Park, delay in implement of work of transmission line, mobile tower, and road connectivity, creation of medical sub centre at Sumdha Chenmo and Sku Kaya and sanction of fund for construction of prefabricated house to the nomads of Nimaling/ Nilangtse Shingo and Sumdha Chenmo.

The HLG said that the process of rationalization of boundaries of the wildlife sanctuaries has been carried out by the Wildlife Institute of India. The HLG assured that the area has been allocated to the villagers in the rationalisation of the boundaries of the wildlife areas. The HLG directed Advisor to HLG/ Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education, Ladakh to sanction the Pharmacist to the Sumdha Chenmo village on outsourced basis.

A delegation from Bogdang led by Sarpanch, Shri Ghulam Hussain, called on the HLG at Raj Niwas. Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, was present in the meeting.

Shri Ghulam highlighted the need to include Bogdang and Turtuk under the Vibrant Villages Programme for the overall development of the area. He requested to grant the Community Development (CD) Block and Naibat status to Bogdang so that the villagers do not face any issues in any revenue or other document-related works. He requested HLG’s intervention in conducting a recruitment rally of the Indian Army for the youth of Turtuk and Bogdang areas.

The HLG stated that the Administration’s aim is to ensure that the citizens do not have to travel more than 100km for any government-related work. He assured to look into the matter and instructed the Advisor to HLG to examine the matter for necessary action.
