Leh, Sept 22: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson visited Khaltse village as the chief guest for the ‘Thanksgiving Lunch Party’ organised by the Ladakh Buddhist Association, Sham Unit and Panchayat-Nambardar Coordination Committee, Sham region, commemorating the grand success of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s visit to Sham region in August 2023.
Addressing the gathering, CEC Gyalson lauded the exemplary effort embodied by all the stakeholders, including the LBA Sham unit, Panchayat Nambardar Coordination Committee Sham, contractors’ fraternity of Sham region, district officers, all the sub-divisional officers led by SDM Khaltse and other concerned stakeholders for successful visit and stay of HHDL in Khaltse, Sham region.
Councillor Khaltse and President, LBA Sham unit also expressed their gratitude to all the involved stakeholders, especially Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson; MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and UT Ladakh Administration led by Lt Governor Ladakh, Retd. Brig. Dr. BD Mishra for their constant and relentless support in fulfilling the long pending and genuine desire of the Sham region.
Similarly, CEC Gyalson in presence of all the dignitaries also inaugurated the Office of the LBA Sham Unit at Khaltse.
A variety of cultural performances were also performed by the students from different schools and Women’s Associations of Sham region.
Councillor Khaltse, Councillor Temisgam, I/c SDM Khaltse, Sub-Divisional officers/officials of Khaltse, Venerable monks and nuns, President LBA Sham unit, Chairman led members from Panchayat and Nambardar Coordination Committee sham, President LBA Women Wing, Representatives from LBA & LGA, President BJP Ladakh, Chairpersons of Contractors Association Leh & Sham region, and a large number of people gathered at the thanksgiving ceremony in Khaltse today.
