Leh, Sept 21: The 13th Battalion Ludhiana Punjab NDRF under its School Safety Program organized an awareness programme at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Leh campus wherein students and staff were imparted critical awareness about various types of natural disasters and rescue measures to minimize the effects of an emergent situation caused by natural disaster.
On the occasion the NDRF teams performed live demonstration to make students aware about several types of natural disaster situations such as Earthquake, Fire, Flood etc. and methods to provide first aid in case of injury, giving CPR in critical condition.
This program was organised with the hope that all these programmes will help children to protect themselves and others in case of a natural calamity.
Mr Suresh Kumar Bahrod Principal JNV Leh welcomed the NDRF team and lauded their effort in providing useful information to the students and making them prepare to conduct Standard Operational Procedures in case of a natural calamity.
Mr Uttam Chand Katoch – Commandant 13th Bn. NDRF, members of the NDRF team along with staff members and students of the JNV Leh were present in the program.
