Leh, Sept 18: Councilor, Phyang, Tundup Norbu called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Raj Niwas. Director, School Education Department, Ladakh, Tsering Paldan present in the meeting. Norbu apprised the HLG that Rewa Society has opened a school for special abled children in collaboration with the Department of School Education at Government High School Kharnakling. He informed that 32 special abled students were enrolled at the institute and a teacher was adjusted to teach the special abled students.

He further informed that the teacher was detached from the centre and requested the HLG to provide a teacher for continuation of the learning for the special abled students. The HLG directed Director, School Education, Ladakh to consult the matter with Principal Secretary, School Education, Ladakh to identify the suitable solution of the matter.

Councilor, Tegar, Rigzin Lundup called on HLG at Raj Niwas. Lundup requested the HLG to resume work of Shatsey-Taknak bridge at the earliest and construction of Diskit-Lakjung bridge which is sanctioned under SDP. The HLG assured Shri Lundup to examine the matter with concerned departments.

President, PAGIR, Tsewang Dorjay called on the HLG at Raj Niwas. Commissioner Secretary, Social and Tribal Welfare, Ladakh, Smt Padma Angmo, IIS was present in the meeting. Shri Dorjay apprised PAGIR and their initiative to help special abled persons and requested HLG to provide assistance for the organisation. The HLG directed Commissioner Secretary, Social and Tribal Affairs Department to examine the matter.

Zakir Hussain, a resident of Leh called on HLG at Raj Niwas. Shri Ali requested the HLG to allocate the land for construction on a compassionate basis. The HLG suggested him to meet Deputy Commissioner, Leh in this regard.
