Leh, Sept 13: : To facilitate investment services other than banking to the people of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Financial Services Limited (JKBFSL) – a wholly owned subsidiary of J&K Bank today threw open its first branch in Ladakh UT and 13th overall branch at JK Bank Zonal Office building, Main Market here.
Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson inaugurated the new branch in presence of bank’s Zonal Head Dorjey Angchuk, Managing Director JKBFSL Syed Aadil Bashir Andrabi and senior officers of J&K Bank and prominent customers of the area. The latest addition takes number of J&K Bank FSL branches to 13, with 12 of them in Jammu & Kashmir and 1 in Gurugram.
Speaking on the occasion, the CEC lauded the JKBFSL for diversifying its product portfolio to provide tailor made solutions to the investment needs of its customers in Ladakh. He exuded confidence that people in Ladakh would avail financial investment services nand grow their capital.
Also speaking, the Zonal Head, Dorjey Angchuk briefed about the objectives of JKBFSL and the facilities available at its newly opened branch. “The JKBFSL is a wholly owned subsidiary of J&K Bank to function as a financial intermediary for providing investment services other than banking to its’ customers,” he informed the gathering.
MD JKBFSL gave an overview of financial services being offered by the branch to its customers. “Regulated by SEBI, the Company is registered with NSE and BSE as a Stock Broker and Self-Clearing Member and with Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) for distribution of Mutual Fund products,” he informed.
He also informed that JKBFSL would also open its branch in Kargil next year to extend the facilities of financial services to people there.
