JAMMU: The NCC Cadets of S P Senior Secondary School Sarore have given exceptional performance in the Annual Training camp ATC- J3, wherein they clinched the top spot in the Volley Ball competition and tug of war competition.
The Chairman of SP Senior Secondary School Sarore, Shivang Satya Gupta, blessed the cadets upon their return from the camp organised at NCC Camping ground Nagrota from 19-28 June 2023.
NCC cadets from various associated schools and colleges of Jammu region participated in the camp where training activities like Drill field, Map Reading, Field Craft and Battle Craft (FCBC), Obstacle training, Weapon training were organized to impart holistic training to the cadets, who also got to witness the glimpse of armed forces skills.
In addition, cadets were also exposed to disaster management activities conducted under the aegis of Civil Defense Jammu and by Narcotic Department on drug abuse.
Over 500 NCC cadets and NCC Staff participated with full fervor in the camp.
SP Smart Cadets were grouped in Delta Company and accordingly reflected their best performance.
The group leader Daksh Sharma took the lead by initiating the team participation in both theory and practical sessions. The focus was on personality development, while in Shooting competition, Krish Saini, Udhay Saini, Ansh Jamwal, and Rishav were selected for the upcoming firing camp (TSC).
All 20 SP Smart Cadets were appreciated for their outstanding performance in the camp by securing first position in Volley Ball match held on June 24, in which Delta Company –students of SP Smart School defeated Charlie Company comprising College level students.
Cadet Amit Singh of Class 12 (Non-Medical stream) was declared Man of the Match and bagged a Gold Medal.
Delta Team was also declared winners in Tug of War competition, with the team comprised of Krish Saini, Udhay Saini, Ansh Jamwal, Danish Sharma, Ashish Modi, and Sameer Sharma.
Cadets also showcased their talent in cultural activities. Prizes and certificates were given to outstanding cadets in each activity. Colonel Ram Madhukar felicitated Students with the Winner Trophies.
