JAMMU: The schools in Jammu would observe 6-week-long summer vacations from June 8, the authorities informed on Friday.
Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) announced the summer vacations for Jammu Summer zone Government and Private Schools.
“It is hereby ordered that all the Government and recognized Private Schools falling in the summer zone of Jammu division shall observe summer vacation with effect from June 8 to July 22,” an order issued by DSEJ stated.
It further ordered that all teachers would remain available for any on-line guidance of students during vacation period adding that any default on part of the head of the Schools and Teaching staff in observance of the vacation schedule would attract action under rules.
