KARGIL: Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal on Sunday laid the foundation stones of a number of roads being constructed at the cumulative cost of Rs 24 Crore, even as he participated in a number of other projects in Kargil.
The MP Ladakh laid the foundation of the 7.5 Km long Thuina Kotomal to Brakoo village road under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana being built at the cost of Rs 8.26 Crore.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also laid the foundation of the 6 Km road from Lankerchey Brok Tangboo farka Stakpa village under coming up at the cost of Rs 5.91 crore, while he also laid the foundation of the 9.42 Km road to MarpoDoks village under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana being built at the cost of Rs 10.11 Crore
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also visited the solar power plant at Saliskote and took stock of the plant there. The MP assured to restore the damages to 35Kwh innovators.
Earlier, the Member of Parliament also participated in the inauguration ceremony of Office of the Hajj Committee Ladakh at Kargil.
The office was inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) along with the representative of Supreme Leader of Iran, Hujjatul Islam Aga Sheikh Mehdi Mehdivapur.
