LEH: The G20 University Connect Lecture Series on ‘Engaging Young Minds’ took place at the University of Ladakh, Leh Campus, in a collaborative effort between the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) and the University of Ladakh.
The program aimed to foster intellectual discourse and engage young minds in exploring innovative ideas for the future.
The Inaugural session of the program witnessed the esteemed presence of the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier B D Mishra, the Vice Chancellor of Ladakh University, Prof SK Mehta, Prof Arvin Kumar from Centre for Canadian, United States and Latin American studies, School of International studies, JNU along with Ven Bhikkhu Sanghasena.
Bhikkhu Sanghasena delivered a thought-provoking talk on the theme “Projecting Ladakh as the future spiritual destination of India”.
During his address, Bhikkhu Sanghasena emphasized the collective responsibility to promote Ladakh as a spiritual tourist destination, likening it to the mythical Shangri-la. He expressed his deep appreciation to Prof S K Mehta, vice chancellor and the University of Ladakh for hosting this important discussion.
In fact Bhikkhu Sanghasena for last three decades has been rising his voice and working for the same; to make Ladakh the capital of spirituality; Meditation and Yoga.
