Udhampur: Under the leadership of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former legislator Balwant Singh Manhas and Jammu and Kashmir BJP’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan convener Engineer Dilbahadur Singh, DeviKa in Udhampur was cleaned under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Addressing the media on this occasion, Convener Dilbahadur said that we should never spread dirt. For example, when you eat a biscuit and throw away its plastic packet anywhere, it increases the dirt. We should always put that plastic in the dustbin. If there is no dustbin nearby, always keep it in your pocket so that as soon as you are near a dustbin, throw it there. And efforts should be made to pick up plastic seen in this way anywhere and put it in the dustbin, so that we can keep our society clean.
Manhas, addressing everyone, said that the cleanliness campaign has been launched by the Modi government throughout the country, and today DeviKa was also cleaned under it, the main reason for which was to create awareness among people about cleanliness. Manhas said that thousands of people come and go to DeviKa every day, but in the midst of all this, many times we do not pay attention to small things, which Convener Dilbahadur Singh Ji mentioned as an example. Manhas said that we should always keep our city and society clean, so that we all stay healthy. Manhas said that we will soon have a meeting with all our colleagues to discuss keeping DeviKa clean, especially the city of Udhampur. On this occasion, Convenor Tike Sharma, Convenor Parihar, Udhampur District Convenor Mulraj, Publicity Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha Anil Singh Rakwal, Subhash Singh, Joginder Singh, Sushil Kumar, Shekhar Raina, Transport Union District President Darshan Kotwal, Yuva Morcha Secretary Gagan Sharma, Yuva Morcha City President Akash Deep, Swatantra Singh, Madhusudan, Shekhar Raina, Krishna, Rajinder Singh, Mohinder Singh, David Sandhu, Atul Manhas, Harjit Singh, and many social workers were present.
