Jammu: Kishtwar Police is going tough against the anti-social element and today it detained 02 notorious drug smugglers from Old Wine Shop area of Bus Stand Kishtwar and recovered 11.50 Gms Heroine like substance from their possession.
SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS while divulging the details said that team of Kishtwar Police developed a specific information and leads from previous investigation and accordingly a special Nakas led by Insp Abid Bukhari SHO PS Kishtwar under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Sh. Ashish Gupta was laid near old wine shop Bus Stand area. While checking of vehicles and pedestrians naka party noticed suspicious movement of 02 pedestrian who on noticing the presence of police tried to escape from the spot but the cops of naka party overpowered them tactfully. During their personal search Heroine (chitta) Like substance weighing about 11.50 gms was recovered from bothe accused persons who were arrested on spot.
In this regard case FIR No. 111/2023 U/Sec. 8/20/21/29 NDPS Act registered at PS Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
The arrested persons identified as Altaf Hussain S/o Ab Qayoom Malik R/o Ludu Kansar Gandoh Doda & Arbaz Sheikh S/o Fareed Ahmed Sheikh R/o Hidyal Kishtwar.
SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS said that Kishtwar Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace from the society.
