Leh: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) visited Kushok Bakula Rimpochee (KBR) Airport to review the preparatory works and arrangement for the Youth-20 delegates who will arrive in Leh to attend the Pre-Summit to be held from April 26 to 28 under the aegis of G20 India Summit.
LG inquired about the measures being taken to give a facelift to improve the overall look of the KBR Airport to make it aesthetically pleasing. He emphasised the need to maintain cleanliness at the airport. He instructed the concerned officials to make necessary arrangements, wherever required, to ensure a pleasant experience for the delegates.
LG inquired about the preparations being made for the halting and reception of the guests at the KBR Airport and also at the hotels where the delegates will stay. He appreciated the wall painting at the exit gate and instructed the concerned officials to give a makeover to the façade near the arrival gate.
G-20 Nodal Officer in Ladakh, Saugat Biswas informed LG about the plan to use e-buses to pick up the delegates to drop off at their respective hotels. He also informed that an assistance desk will be set up at the airport for the delegates. He further informed that refreshment along with medical facilities would be available for the delegates at the KBR Airport. Saugat informed that portable toilets for ladies would be set up at the Airport.
