Market checking squad imposes Rs 3000 fine on defaulters in Khaltse

Leh: A market checking squad made a surprise inspection of the general stores, restaurants/hotels, vegetable sellers, and chicken sellers at the Khaltse market on the direction of SDM Khaltse, Suhail Ahmad.

The inspection squad was headed by Naib Tehsildar Wanla, Mohd Ali; Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS & CA Department Khaltse, Tsering Angdus;  SHO, Ladakh Police Khaltse, Feroz Khan; Assistant Sub-Inspector, Skarma Choldan; Assistant Sub Inspector, Mohd Hussain; Head Constable (HC), Mohd Abdullah and Storekeeper FCS&CA Department Khaltse, Phuntsog Namgyal.

The squad inspected the sale of expired products and noticed the use of uncommercial cylinders in hotels/restaurants. They also checked the rate list, food standards, hygiene, and necessary documents.

A total of Rs 3,000 was collected as a fine imposed on the defaulters.
