Leh: Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) on Thursday greeted His Eminence Kushok Thiksey Rinpoche, Jetsun Nawang Jamyang Chamba Stanzin on being conferred with the Padma Shri Award.
His Eminence received Padma Shri Award in the field of Spiritualism from the President of India, Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday.
“My heartiest congratulations to His Eminence, Kushok Thiksey Rinpoche on being conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri Award,” said the LG, in a tweet on Thursday evening.
“Ladakh is profoundly indebted to your service to the society and humanity at large,” he added.
Meanwhile, Chairman and CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson met with His Eminence Kushok Thiksey Rinpoche, Jetsun Nawang Jamyang Chamba Stanzin in New Delhi on Thursday and extended his greetings for receiving the prestigious Padma Shri Award in Spiritualism from the President of India.
While congratulating H.E Thiksey Rinpoche, CEC Gyalson further expressed happiness on the much-deserving recognition and sought blessings from Rinpoche, said an official spokesperson.
