Kargil: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) distributed ‘Exam Warriors’- a book by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, among ten students of Government Boys and Govt Girls Higher Secondary School from Kargil on the occasion of 3rd Ladakh Literary Conclave, at Auditorium Hall in Kargil.
HLG informed that the Hon’ble PM wrote the book realising various issues faced by students appearing in Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations along with their parents to help them deal with the stress of exams. He stated that the tension of the students escalates particularly during the board exams when their parents put pressure on them to get good marks in the exams. He also informed that the Hon’ble PM, through the book, has advised the parents to let their children grow up on their own, boost their confidence and don’t put unwanted pressure to enable the students to improve their performances in the board exams.
HLG also highlighted the undue pressure put by the parents on students to get good grades so that they can get good government jobs for a better future. This, he said, will have a long-lasting impact on their children as government cannot provide government jobs to all. He stated that instead of becoming job-seekers parents should advise their children to become job providers by starting their own startups.
The Hon’ble PM has given 34 mantras in the book on the problems faced by the students. The book was published in 2018 and is available in 13 languages.
