Jammu: J&K Dharmarth Trust is going to organize a grand Rath Yatra on March 30, 2023 to mark the celebrations of Ram Navmi.
Talking to media persons at Dharmarth Trust’s Central Office in Jammu, Sh Ranvijay Singh, Trustee of J&K Dharmarth Trust informed that the Trust is going to hold the grand Rath Yatra with traditional zeal and enthusiasm. The Sobha Yatra shall be conducted in collaboration with Sanatan Dharm Sabha and Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, he added.
Ranvijay Singh said that the Shobha Yatra will cover the traditional route this year commencing from historical Shri Raghunathji Temple and after passing through various markets including Residency Road, Rajinder Bazaar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar, Raj Tilak Road, Old Hospital Road, Raghunath Bazaar and will finally culminate at Shri Raghunath Ji Temple.
Ranvijay Singh informed that on March 30, 2022 at 4:30 PM, the Shobha Murti Poojan ceremony will be performed in the premises of Shri Raghunath ji Temple followed by Rath Poojan and Dhwajarohan ceremony. After that the Rath Yatra will start from Shri Raghunath ji Temple, he added.
“Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Mayor Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, ADGP and several other dignitaries are invited to participate in the Rath Yatra,” he added.
The Trustee appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to join the celebrations in large numbers as these auspicious occasions are significant and give opportunity to people to know their rich culture and roots.
President and Secretary of the Trust expressed gratitude to the district administration for extending full support in organizing this Shobha Yatra.
