LEH: After a three-week-long hiatus during which he attended several crucial meetings and events in Vietnam and New Delhi, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson arrived in Leh on Friday.

In the first meeting, CEC Gyalson met the village representatives from Thiksey block.

The CEC was called upon by a delegation comprising of newly elected village representatives from Ranbirpur, Thiksey headed by Councillor Thiksey, Stanzin Chosfail, said a council spokesperson.

The delegation discussed various development issues of Ranbirpur village and put forth few demands to the CEC. CEC Gyalson gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised by the delegation and assured them of early redressal, the spokesperson added.

Later in the day, CEC Gyalson also felicitated and congratulated Er Tundup Spalzang for getting promoted as in-charge Superintendent Engineer (Distribution), Power Distribution Department Ladakh and wished him best for his new assignment.

The CEC, it may be mentioned, had left for Vietnam in the first week of March to attend the inauguration of Drigung Kagyu Samten Ling, and The Great Prayer Wheel “Origung Kagyu Rinchen Khorchen Khorwe Go Gek”, besides the ceremony for the Reception of the Guinness World Record, along with the laying of the foundation stone for the establishment of Buddhist University at Samten Hills, there.

From Vietnam, CEC had landed in the national capital, where he held a series of important meetings with top ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, besides meeting the BJP national president J P Nadda, before attending the 10th edition of ‘Meet of Mountain States’.
