‘Go-Thur’ drama played as 15-day theatre workshop concludes at Kargil

Kargil: Ladakh Academy of Art Culture and Languages (LAACL) Kargil on the closing ceremony of the “15-day Play Production Oriented Theatre Workshop” organized an energetic Stage Drama of Purgi Play ‘Go-Thur’ Directed by Kacho Ahmad Khan (First NSDite from Kargil) at Auditorium Hall.

On the occasion, Director School Education, Ladakh, Dr Safdar Ali was the chief guest, ARTO Kargi, Khadim Hussain was the guest of honour, Padma Shri Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat was the special guest, Deputy Secretary, LAACL, Kargil Nazir Hussain, Ex. Councilor, Muhammad Ali, other dignitaries, and a huge crowd of spectators were present on the occasion.

On the occasion, Dr Safdar Ali congratulated the LAACL and the team for their performance. He said the message of the play would have reached audiences and hoped they would propagate the same to the public for betterment of society.

While talking about the theme, he said it was appropriate for the play as it reflected society. He said it is the need of the hour to take special care for depressed children. The director further said that society has to play a supportive role.

On the occasion, the ARTO praised the artists for their performance in the play. He also said the depressed students need counselling for their well-being and grooming.

Deputy Secretary, LAACL, Kargil thanked all the participants for their participation in the closing ceremony. Earlier, the team of artists from LAACL Kargil presented a Stage Drama of Purgi Play (Go-Thur) in front of huge audience in the Auditorium Hall.

The play was based on depression in the younger generation. The play enthralled the audiences and they appreciated the team for their performance and the message of the play.
