KATHUA, MARCH 09: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Pandey, conducted a meeting to assess the progress of works of the education sector at the DC office complex today.

The DC discussed previous meeting topics such as verifying schools for basic facilities like electricity, boundary walls, toilets, and drinking water. He directed CEO Kathua to ensure that all schools have the required facilities and to ensure cleanliness around schools.

The DC also reviewed ongoing works under UT and District Capex and directed agencies to complete them within the given timeline. He emphasised the need for barbed wires and boundary walls for school safety.

Institutional heads were asked to monitor works in their jurisdiction for quality asset creation.

Those attending the meeting included CPO Uttam Singh, CEO PL Thapa, XEN REW, XEN PWD Kathua, AEE PWD Basohli, Principals, cluster heads and concerned officers.
