Kargil, March 3, 2023: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting of the Annual Action Plan for Pradhan Mantri Aadi Aadarsh Gram Yojna (PMAAGY) for formulation of the Village Development Plan (VDP).
During the meeting, discussions were held on the formulation of village development plan of the Annual Action Plan of different villages identified by LAHDC Kargil under PMAAGY.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Abdul Hadi, ACD Ghulam Muhammad, Chief Education Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, representatives of ICDS and other officials from various departments.
It was informed that 28 villages in UT Ladakh had been identified under the PMAAGY scheme for the financial year 2021-22 and 24 villages for the financial year 2022-23. As per scheme, the total funds per village will be Rs 20.38 lakhs.
PMAAGY aims to transform villages with significant tribal population into model village. It also aims to achieve integrated socio-economic development of selected villages through convergence approach.
DC Kargil directed the ICDS for the proposal of AWCs in the identified villages. He also directed the concerned department for the management of solid waste in the villages.
The line departments were also instructed to submit the village action plans regarding PMAAGY up to March 10, 2023.
Preparation and approval of the Village Development Plan were also discussed in detail for the identified villages. It was informed that road connectivity, telecom connectivity, school, AWCs, health sub-center, drinking water facilities, drainage and solid waste management etc. will be incorporated in the VDP.
Earlier, the District Social Welfare Officer/Member Secretary gave a presentation on various aspects of PMAAGY and its aims and objectives.
