Leh, Feb 25: Day two of the celebration of His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa and His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche’s birthday started with Smoke Puja in the morning. Around 500 venerable monks and nuns gathered at the Naro-photang Shey. The prayers led by His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche, His Eminence Palga Rinpoche, His Eminence Khamtak Rinpoche and His Eminence Gomchen Tulku. It was followed by Drolma Youdok prayer (Puja).
After lunch, His Eminence Palga Rinpoche gave teaching to the general public. He emphasised the importance of the 1st month of the Lunar Calendar and that everyone must abstain from non-virtuous deeds. More than 1000 devotees from different parts of Ladakh gathered to listen to His Eminences’ teachings.
In the evening the venerable monks and nuns gathered to perform the rituals for Drolma Youdok and the day concluded with storma offering.
