Leh, Feb 23 :- Executive Councillor for Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi had a meeting with Divisional Commissioner Ladakh, Suagat Biswas today to discuss the airlifting of stranded passengers hailing from Nubra region at Chandigarh.
He discussed providing special flights of Indian Airforce to evacuate stranded local passengers from Chandigarh to Thoise, Nubra. He further discussed continuing and resuming the existing flight operations from Chandigarh-Thoise-Chandigarh to ferry local passengers.
Div Com Biswas apprised about the necessary action taken by Administration to initiate the evacuation process of the stranded passengers at the earliest possible and added that talks with MoD already taken list of passengers from various villages of Nubra.
