Advisor to LG seeks report on revival of Tourism potential in Nubra

Leh: Advisor to Hon’ble Lt Governor Umang Narula today convened a meeting regarding karakoram wildlife sanctuary of Nubra subdivision.

The meeting attended by Dy Chairman LAHDC and Executive Councillors of LAHDC Leh held threadbare discussion about proclamation, rights of the people, and rationalisation of the sanctuary. Thorough discussion was held on registration and renewal of tourism units at Nubra.

Nubra is one of the tourist hub of Ladakh, the scenic beauty, double hump camel, monasteries, statue of Diskit chamba, Turtuk village, hot springs of Panamik are main features.

During the meeting Executive Councillors requested for setting-up a mechanism for smooth functioning of tourist related business. As the ease of doing business is badly affected in Nubra valley due to enforcement of the act.

Advisor directed concerned departments, tourism and wildlife to workout on the issues and to submit a report soon.

The meeting was attended by public representatives of LAHDC Leh, Secretaries of UT Ladakh and Bankers.
