Thane, Jan 17 (PTI) A court in Maharashtra’s Thane district has acquitted a 30-year-old man in a case of kidnapping and procuration of a 14-year-old girl, noting the main culprit was absconding and the victim had died.
Sessions Judge Dr Rachna R Tehra, in her order passed on January 12, said the prosecution failed to prove the charges against the accused under Indian Penal Code Sections 363 (kidnapping), 366A (procuration of minor girl) and 34 (common intention).
A copy of the order was made available on Tuesday.
