JAMMU, DECEMBER 26: The training of the Aapda Mitra CSS “Up-Scaling of Aapda Mitra” is in full swing in the Central Training Institute (HG, CD, SDRF) Kot Bhalwal.
The Training course for 7th Batch comprising 139 volunteers hailing from different districts of Jammu Province began today. The Aapda Mitras participated enthusiastically in the inauguration function.
Randheer Singh, SSP, CO SDRF, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the objectives of this GOI scheme and also sensitised the volunteers about their role and responsibility. He shared the schedule of training to be imparted which includes visit to Akhnoor for water rescue training, to Samba for mountaineering rescue training, to SDRF Bn HQ and also to Directorate of Fire and Emergency services. It was also informed that till date 6 batches comprising 590 volunteers from Jammu Province have been trained and till March 2023, it is expected that 1500 community volunteers shall be trained for disaster response.
Dy. SP, Ashok Sharma presented the vote of thanks and thanked all the stakeholders for their kind cooperation and support in organizing this training.
The other officers present on the occasion were Inspr. Vishal Dubey, Inspr. Sanjeev Kalsi, Instructors from SDRF and Adm. staff of CTI HG/CD, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
