JAMMU, DECEMBER 26: Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan committee, in collaboration with IQAC of the PSPS Govt (PG) College for Women, Gandhi Nagar , Jammu, today organised an Awareness Run on the theme “Drugs Awareness & Prevention” under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Run started from Mahatma Gandhi Block and passing via different departments of the college and concluded at the sports ground.
A total of 125 students participated with great fervor & enthusiasm and raised slogans on Say no to Drugs, Say Yes to Life. The participants were from NSS, NCC units and from different streams (B.A, B.Sc & B.Com) of the college.
Prof. Rashmi Kumari convener (Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Committee) coordinated the whole program and welcomed chief patron Prof Minu Mahajan, principal of the college. She appreciated the efforts of college faculty and students. She explained about the ill -effects of the drugs and motivated the students to spread messages among their friends, peers and family members.
Prof Geetanjali Rana (Dean Arts), Prof Sanjay Verma (Dean Sciences) Prof Mamta Gupta (Dean Commerce) and Prof Mala Bhasin (Staff Secretary) were present during the event.
Dr.Yashpal Sharma Convenor and Dr. Rupinder member (IQAC) were present on the occasion.
Dr Suraj Mohani Jamwal, Prof. Paramjeet Singh, Prof Swarn Singh, Prof Kusum and Prof Sunita organised the event.
