Leh: District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Leh in collaboration with PRAGYA NGO installed 11 Automated Weather Stations (AWS) in Leh district, which were inaugurated in the presence of DC Leh, Shrikant Suse and SP Leh, PD Nitya.
The real time data collected by these #AWS will supplement the data from Meteorological Centre Leh as these AWSs cover more locations in the district in addition to IMD locations.
DC Leh stressed for widening more weather related parameters to ensure better disaster related alerts through these AWSs.
DDMA Leh will also conduct a workshop for Aapda Mitras of district in association with PRAGYA NGO and UTDRF in coming days.
