Leh: Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal along with Namgyal Angchuk Gyapo, President Ladakh Winter Sports Club Leh called on Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs in his office chamber in New Delhi.
JTN extended invitation to Anurag Thakur to grace as chief guest of the upcoming occasion of Indo-Canadian Ice-Hockey Tournament to be held in Leh on 14th & 15th January 2023.
The delegation also presented pamphlets discussed containing detailed information about the Ladakh Winter Sports Club and its activities being carried out for the last thirty years and also discussed various issues pertaining to Winter Sports in Union Territory of Ladakh and sought special attention from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
JTN also called on Union Minister for Tourism & Culture, Kishan Reddy Gangapuram in his office chamber and discussed various matters pertaining to Union Territory of Ladakh.
He requested the Union Minister to speedup the process for appointment of Vice Chancellor and other important officers in Central Institute of Buddhist Studies-Deemed to be University in Leh.
He also requested the Union Minister to chair the first convocation of the CIBS after making it a Deemed University under Ministry of Culture as per UGC Guidelines.

Angchuk discusses publishing of revised Bhoti textbooks with SED officials
Leh: Dy Chairman/EC Education, Tsering Angchuk convened a meeting today with officials of the School Education Department Leh to discuss plans for publishing revised Bhoti textbooks for the new academic session of 2023-24.
A detailed deliberation took place among the officials regarding publishing of the revised Bhoti textbooks before the start of the new academic session next year. Dy Chairman directed CEO Leh to expedite the work formalities and ensure the publishing of the books within the given timeframe.
It was decided during the meeting that a committee shall be constituted to exercise the required work procedures and CEO Leh shall monitor accordingly.
EC RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, CEO Leh, DEPO Leh, Cultural Officer LAACL Leh, and Bhoti language experts of the department were present during the meeting.
